Chad Hatter

Chad is President and Investment Advisor Representative. He holds CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter), ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), CASL® (Chartered Advisor for Senior Living), RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) professional designations. He also holds Series 7, 63, and 65 (for investments), as well as Life and Health Insurance licenses. Chad has been with Weaver Insurance and Financial Advisors since 1997, and Vice President since 2007. He and his wife, Lori, have three sons, Zach, Adam and Drew. They are members of Mountain View Mennonite Church, Lyndhurst, where Chad has served on church council, finance committee and as Sunday School teacher. He enjoys all sports, especially golf, baseball and basketball.

J.R. is Vice-President and Investment Advisor Representative. He has been licensed for life, health, and securities since 1998, and has been a part of the financial services division of Weaver Insurance and Financial Advisors since November 2004. He is an Investment Advisor Representative with Concourse Financial Group Securities, Inc., and has earned the ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) and CASL® (Chartered Advisor for Senior Living) RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) professional designations. He also earned a BBA from the University of Georgia where he played shortstop for the 1990 National Champion “Dawgs” baseball team.

Joel Frazier, AAI®, CIC®

Joel is the Manager for the Property and Casualty Insurance Division. He began his insurance career in 1985 with Old Dominion Insurance Agency, Inc as a Property & Casualty and Life and Health insurance agent. In 1987, he became part owner of Old Dominion Insurance assisting with management functions as well as producing and servicing insurance clients. He earned the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) designation in 1994 and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2008. He is a founding member of the Blue Ridge Astronomers, member of the Greater Augusta Chamber of Commerce, past board member of the Greater Verona Business Association, Associate Vice President of the Augusta Homebuilders Association, member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia, member of the Professional Insurance Agents Association

Joel is married with two children. He enjoys spending time with his daughter, amateur astronomy, reading, motorcycling, gardening, bicycling, yoga, golf, working on the farm, and working in his shop during his spare time.

Joe Shenk

Joe holds series 6, 7, 63, and 65 licenses (for investments), and has been licensed for life and health and long-term care insurance planning since 2005. He holds a ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) professional designation. Joe moved to Harrisonburg, VA in 1989 and has lived in the Shenandoah Valley ever since. While he was in college, and immediately after, he worked at Rosetta Stone in Harrisonburg as an account executive. Joe and his wife, Amina, and their boys, Ari and Jacob, live in Staunton and attend Staunton Mennonite Church. He serves on the finance committee at church and leads singing from time to time. He volunteers as a board member for the Daily Living Center in Waynesboro. Joe enjoys tennis, soccer, and games of all kinds.

Scott Kimmel

Scott has been in the life, health, and financial services industry since 1998, and has been a part of the financial services division of Weaver Insurance and Financial Advisors since May 2011. In January of 2017, Scott began working in the Commercial Insurance Division.

Scott earned a BS from Clemson University where he worked as a Coaching Assistant to the Baseball Team. Scott loves to play golf, travel, and workout at his CrossFit gym. He lives in Mt. Sidney with his wife, Alisa, and children, Madison, Morgan, & Dillon.

Stuart Hatter, CLU®, RHU®

Stuart is an Insurance Advisor and Benefits Specialist, and holds licenses for Life Insurance, Annuities, and Health Insurance. He can also help you with Long Term Care insurance and planning, Disability Income insurance, and Medicare products. Stuart has extensive knowledge of the health reform changes as a result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He has been employed with Weaver Insurance and Financial Advisors since 2007. He has earned the CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter) and RHU® (Registered Health Underwriter) professional designations. Stu and his wife, Heather, have three young children, two sons and one daughter. Stu enjoys all sports, especially baseball and golf, as well as hunting and fishing when time permits!

Angie Humphries

Financial Services Representative

Angie is a native of the Shenandoah Valley – growing up in Waynesboro. She married her high school sweetheart, Todd, and they have happily lived on their farm in the Crimora area over 25 years. They have two beautiful daughters, Emily and Ashley, and a spoiled bichon-poodle, named Marley.

Angie stays busy with her family – she enjoys cooking, listening to music, family vacations, board games with her girls and date nights with her hubby.

Angie joins Weaver with over twenty years of experience in administrative and financial services. She looks forward to working in the health, life and financial division assisting clients, whatever their needs may be.

Pisgah United Methodist Church, Mount Sidney.

She is married to Brent, and they attend Asbury United Methodist Church.

Derek Berry

Derek is native to the Shenandoah Valley, and has been in the insurance field since 2015. He has a strong background in life insurance with investment advising and long term care experience. He has a passion for helping families and business owners protect themselves and their loved ones through proper planning for their current needs and the future.

Derek loves spending time with his friends and family. He married his high school sweetheart and they live happily together in Staunton with their 2 dogs. He enjoys cooking and playing golf. He and his wife are active members at Bridge Christian Church.

Lindsay Terry

Lindsay began her career in the financial services and insurance industry in 2008. She graduated from Bridgewater College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. Lindsay holds the Series 7 and Series 66 financial licenses, as well as Life, Health, Property, and Casualty insurance licenses in the State of Virginia.

Lindsay and her husband, Chris, live in Churchville with their three children – Lennon, Cason, and Bowen. She enjoys traveling and assisting with her children’s sports and extracurricular activities.

Karen and her husband, Robert, have two sons that are married, and 6 precious grandchildren. Karen and her husband attend Redeeming Grace Church.

Barbara Pennington

Barbara is a native of the Shenandoah Valley and earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration. Since June 2011, Barbara specializes in sales and service of commercial property & casualty insurance with Weaver Insurance & Financial Advisors. Prior to Weaver, Barbara started her career in insurance in 1986. Along the way, Barbara has worked in different sectors including life & health insurance, personal lines, group health benefits, and has served in several leadership positions with local organizations. She actively volunteers for many local non-profit organizations, church activities, and her children’s extra-curricular activities. Barbara and her husband, Larry, live in Stuarts Draft with their two daughters. Barbara also enjoys reading, photography, music, football and soccer, but especially enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Carol Caporelli

Adminstrative Assistant

Carol and her husband live in Churchville, Virginia, and have two grown married children. They love spending time with family, which especially includes their two grandchildren. Carol enjoys anything to do with cooking and baking. She is a Sunday School teacher at Calvary Baptist Church in Staunton, working with 1st and 2nd grade children.

Tom Woodworth

Church Insurance Advisor

Tom is a native of the Shenandoah Valley and a proud graduate of the University of Virginia. He joined Weaver Insurance and Financial Advisors after a 20-year career in the sporting goods manufacturing industry. Tom is a Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance agent and works specifically with churches, colleges and universities, schools, camps, missions, and other faith-based organizations.
Tom and his wife, Lindsey, live in Waynesboro and have five children ranging from college to pre-school. Needless to say, his free time is spent doing family activities. His favorite things to do with them is to go to sporting events (particularly UVA) and unique restaurants (ask him about his Pig-Out List). Tom is an active member of First Baptist Waynesboro and has served on various committees and taught Sunday School for many years.

Maria Reto

Maria is a Personal Lines Insurance Agent and holds a Property and Casualty Insurance License, as well as a Life and Annuities Insurance License. Passionate about providing the best insurance solutions for individuals and families.
She loves spending time with her friends and family, as well as traveling and trying out new restaurants, exploring new places, and meeting new people.
Maria is originally from Lima, Peru, and she currently resides in Waynesboro with her two dogs Bruno and Buster.

Kayla Roberson

Kayla grew up in the small town of Crimora, and still resides there with her husband Josh, son Pierce, and their Great Dane Titus. Growing up in a small town where everyone knows everyone, Kayla enjoys personal relationships and is eager to listen to her client’s needs, and provide customized protection for them and their families. She is a Personal Lines Insurance Agent and holds a Property and Casualty Insurance License, as well as a Life and Annuities Insurance License.

Chad Seibert

I started selling insurance in 2000 as an independent for Miles and Finch in Carmel, Indiana. After a successful seven years as an agent, I relocated to Boulder, Colorado to pursue a career in education and coaching. After our two children were born, my wife Jessica and I gravitated to the Valley to be closer to family. We have enjoyed raising our kids here, and my investment in helping people led me out of the classroom and back to insurance with Weaver. My favorite part about being an agent is building relationships with clients and figuring out the unique coverage each individual needs.

Rick Hanley

Personal, Commercial and Life Insurance Advisor

Rick has been in the insurance industry for the past two years and has served as an educator and mentor of at-risk youth for over fifteen years. He came to the Shenandoah Valley to serve as Pastor at a church in Staunton for eight years. His ministry experience has helped him connect with and relate to a diverse group of customers by making them feel valued and at ease. He enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, playing music with his guitar and bass. He attends and participates on the ministry team at Oak Grove Baptist Restoration Ministries in Waynesboro. He and his wife Amy have been married for 26 years and are the proud parents of three grown children. Rick will take the time to get to know you and connect you with insurance that will most of all fit your needs as well as your budget.

Kim Welcher, CIC, CISR

Commercial Insurance Advisor

Kim is a lifetime resident of Augusta County, a native of Stuarts Draft. Kim started her insurance career at Augusta Insurance Agency in 1998. She’s had her Property & Casualty license for over 20 years. Kim also holds the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation since 2009 and her CISR (Certified Insurance Service Counselor) designation since 2001.

Kim currently lives in Stuarts Draft with her husband (Matt). They have one daughter, who also lives in Stuarts Draft. They enjoy spending their spare time in the mountains of West Virginia.
